Catherine's soccar game
Catherine had a great soccar season. We all really enjoyed going to her games. Most of them were beautiful weather, until this one. :) She had a fun coach and fun teammates - all girls her same age. The rest of us enjoyed the fun atmosphere with the other families. Catherine was really good at hustling and cheering on her teammates.
The trip to Portsmouth!
The first highlight of our trip to Portsmouth was being greeted by the boys at the motel and introducing David Smart to his namesake.

It was great to see Grammie's new place and we enjoyed her wonderful italian lunch!

Grave of George and Mary (?) Smart in the Portsmouth Cemetary. George was the son of the infamous Captain Richard Smart. ARRrrrg!
Playing at Newcastle Beach
Friday after lunch at Grammie's we went to Newcastle Beach. It was a beautiful day! People climbed and talked on the rocks, played in the water and the David's napped.

Michael didn't bring his swimsuit to the beach (who knew it would be such a good day for swimming?) so Tim graciously let him borrow his.

The boys are still right at home in the water. Michael commented how amazing it was to feel good swimming in the Atlantic Ocean in September. The weather was so beautiful!
Touring Strawberry Banke
David was a good sport and came along with all the girls as we went to tour the restored area of Portsmouth called Strawberry Banke after breakfast at the Friendly Toast on Saturday. It was such a gorgeous day!

Tim bonding with his newest nephew. David wasn't always the happiest camper in the back of the car, but Tim was so good natured about it. He's been that way with all of our kids - always so patient and sensitive.

The wedding dinner
This is where the rehersal dinner was held - under the outdoor tent. Gorgeous night and GOOD food! The company was pretty good too!

A tradional New England feast. I am proud to say that I thoroughly enjoyed my lobster and even dismantled more of it myself than ever before. Michael still helped me with the torso though.
