Do you watch the exciting backhoe down the street, filling in potholes? (We made multiple trips to check out the different pieces of machinery.)
This was a great diversion for a sunny day. Good to get out of the house, breathe some "fresh" air, get some exercise, learn how to dig-up asphalt. . .
Do you let your kids build "tanks" with the couch, the little-tikes car, the vaccuum cleaner and cord, etc? (I was informed that this one is called "The Drivey-Divey 3000.")
(This one made a big mess, but kept them very entertained.)
We've spent a lot of purler-bead time this winter. But I'm starting to get sick of picking beads out of the carpet, so these are back on the shelf for a little while.
Emma decided to make 'quilt-squares' out of purler beads. A child after my own heart.

Do we get to see the new light fixture?
Oh what do I do in the winter time? Go to FL!!!! :)
I'm starting to get a bit bored with winter myself. Luckily we are going to St. George next weekend. Yahoo! The kids are really starting to get on each other's nerves. Too much time together is not always a good thing. Last weekend they made a fort out of the sheets they took off the beds and draped them all over the boys' bunk bed. I even let them sleep in it for a couple of nights. You do what you have to!
I have so enjoyed getting caught up on your blog and will read your recent posts over again. They are terrific! Very creative--I was singing right along to "what do you do in the wintertime". You must do a summer time one later on. Spencer's quote are priceless (Emma had a good one, too:) I think he's going to be a famous writer. Thank you for making his 5 year old statements immortal in cyberspace!
That is one big mess that your boys
did, Amy. I am pretty sure that you are getting tired of cleaning those messes that your kids make. Those beads that Emma made are super cute! I love those colors!
