And their parents and other assorted friends and relatives. (a.k.a. our "people") Our family photos to share with family and loved ones, to keep you posted on our lives and in some cases, our growth.
For our Family Home Evening activity last week we let the kids play outside in the rain. It felt WONDERFUL after two weeks of 100+ degree temperatures. The kids were also very excited to use their new rain gear from Walmar. The girls love their umbrella's (inspired by Marta's pink parasol) and Spencer loves his self-titled "raining coat."
In Utah, our state commemoration is celebrated on July 24th - since that is the day the first pioneers entered the Salt Lake Valley. It's also a great reason to light more fireworks in July. Following a BBQ, we usually we have "Poppy's fireworks" but this year Michael took on that weighty responsibility. We all enjoyed the impressive display and then the kids ran around with sparklers.
| It finally rained here after 10 straight days of over 100 degree temperatures. The kids immediately grabbed their "raining coats," as Spencer calls them, and ran out in it. Wait until the page fully loads, then click the "play arrow" and you should see the clip. Let me know how it works. | |
