Emma's Birthday

This year Emma had multiple birthday celebrations. First, we had a fun surprise this week as Grandma Rosie came to visit and stay with the Sorensons! So after swimming we ate pizza and sang to Emma and ate cupcakes.

We had originally planned a party with friends on Emma's real birthday, but because of vacations and schedules, we postponed that until Saturday. So instead, we met Jenni and her girls at the Aquarium in Sandy and then Poppy, Grandma, Jim and Matt joined us for a festive dinner at the Training Table. (Boy, it has been a LONG time since I've been there!)

Emma was very thrilled with her new Gabriella doll from Abby. (Look at cute baby Lily.)

Saturday we finally had Emma's party with her friends. I had to talk her into having a pool party because she is the only one of our kids who can. She invited four cute little friends. Catherine had a great idea that she could be the Lifegaurd, but since she didn't want to wear her swimming suit, she recruited Spencer to be her side-kick who actually did the work. Cath devised a couple of different whistle-blows that told Spencer he should dive in the pool to save someone or to refill her cup of lemonade. He was a surprisingly willing gopher. :)

It was a cute little party with cute little girls. Nothing fancy (my birthday-party trademark) but as always, kids are so happy with the simplest things. It was really fun.

Wow, if Emma is 7 then that means Willy and Emma will be getting baptized next year. How is time going this quickly?
So fun to see your cute family and all of the Udall clan. Yes, let's do get together once the kids are in school.
